The Everyday Indian Menu is a series of lessons that Carla has created displaying standard (yet mouthwatering) dishes eaten throughout modern India, well, everyday.
In this lesson, Carla picks up where she left off in her last Mindbite: “How to Make Tandoori Chicken,” with how to make two new dishes using your leftover Tandoori Chicken. These simple recipes and instructional will show you how to make a light and healthy Tandoori Chicken Salad and an unbelievably delicious Butter Chicken Curry. If you somehow managed to have any leftovers from your scrumptious Tandoori Chicken meal, we guarantee this will take care of what’s left. Your friends and family will be licking their plates clean!
Carla began cooking Indian food at the age of 15 and went on to hone her skills at the best Indian cooking school ever - her mother’s kitchen! She has adapted these recipes to life in America, developing homemade curry pastes, spice mixtures and cooking sauces that make Indian cooking fun, fast and convenient. The Spice Route Homemade Indian Cooking classes aim to demystify Indian cooking, and prove that Indian cuisine is about SO much more than curry powder!

Farf’s “Lazy Tandoori”
Ingredients
1.2 Kgs Meat -Cubed
3 Potatoes -Cubed
2 Carrots -Chopped
1 Jar Tandoori Paste
1 Onion -Diced
1/2 Cup Frozen Corn
1.5 Cups Rice + 3 Cups cold Water
1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
1 TBS Suger
3 TBS Corn Flower
Water
Oil
Salt
Process
Seal the meat with 2 - 3 TBS of Tandoori Paste with the onion and enough oil to Fry.
Once the outside of the meat is cooked, throw in 1 - 2 cups of Water, Potatoes, Carrot, Corn, Sugar, Cayenne Pepper and the rest of the Tandoori Paste.
Boil untill the Potatoes are almost soft enough to your preference, making sure theres enough liquid to prevent the tandoori burning to the bottom. Place on a LOW Heat.
Mix Rice, 2 tsp of Oil and 1 tsp of salt. Add the water then bring to the boil.
Once boiling place the lid on the rice and let it sit on a VERY LOW heat.
After 15 - 20 Mins the rice would have absorbed the remaining moisture and the Potatoes in the Curry should be done.
Mix Corn Flour and enough COLD water to disolve then stir into the Curry untill it thickens.
If its not thick enough, add more Corn Flour and water, If its to thick, just add more water.
If you feeling fancy, serve with a Dollop of Pot Set or Regular Yogurt on-top or on the side.
